This two-day conference targets physicians, nurses, EMS and ancillary staff who care for the traumatically injured patient. The content delivery is didactic, case studies and audience response and will reflect current EBP in the care of specific trauma mechanisms of injury that are most commonly seen at OhioHealth's three American College of Surgeons accredited trauma centers. These MOI include falls, motor vehicle crashes and assaults for both Grant and Riverside and falls, motor vehicle crashes and motorcycle crashes for Mansfield. We will also be incorporating innovation technology into the evidence-based care of the trauma patient.



ACCME Objectives
  1. List the top mechanisms of injury specific to OhioHealth trauma centers.
  2. Describe challenges a trauma center may face in receiving patients from a mass casualty event.

ACPE Pharmacist Objectives
  1. Explain the rationale for compassionate communication in healthcare.

AOA Objectives
  1. Identify innovations in trauma care utilized at OhioHealth's trauma centers.
