The 5th Annual Midwest CME Providers Conference is designed to explore best practices from various providers and be a way to explore new and innovative ways of providing CME. We are excited about this event and we have lined up an impressive list of presenters representing large and small providers. With that said, if you attend be prepared to share – this conference is about sharing best practices. The general format of the meeting will be short presentations with lots of round table discussions.

Pre-Conference Workshop

Summary: In this focused workshop, CME newcomers will learn the fundamentals of planning and implementing CME activities. The format of the course will include a pre-workshop activity, interactive lectures, and case based discussions.

Topics to be covered include:

  • AMA requirements and how they fit into the CME accreditation system
  • ACCME accreditation criteria, standards and policies
  • How to determine educational needs, gaps, objectives and formats.
  • How to identify, resolve and disclose financial relationships
  • How to measure, analyze and use educational outcomes

Objectives
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe best practices for Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS) activities.
  2. Identify technology trends to manage a CME office.
  3. Recognize logistics for MOC Part II.
  4. Explain how to get started with Accreditation with Commendation.
