Rehab therapists will be educated on pulmonary hypotension, including causes and general medical treatments to be aware of.  Therapists will learn about how therapy and rehab programs can benefit these patients, and considerations to be aware of when providing/recommending these treatments and programs.   


Objectives
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Define pulmonary hypertension.
  2. Review what underlying medical conditions can lead to pulmonary hypertension.
  3. Discuss different treatments for pulmonary hypertension. Name some benefits that patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension may have from participation in physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
