OhioHealth Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Video Recordings for Neurologists, Neuroradiologists, Neuropsychologists and Geriatricians

Targeting neurologists, geriatricians and neuropsychologists, this event will provide education for the assessment and treatment for patients presenting with possible dementia as well as information on recommended referral pathways. Three brief presentations will be provided (one on patient assessment, one on neuropsychological testing, and one on neuro-imaging), each followed by case study discussions. This event is planned to build on existing skills.

1. Discuss the definitions, classifications and underlying pathophysiology of various dementias.
2. Assess and evaluate these conditions.
3. Discuss medication use, recognize comorbidities and complications, and respond to changing medical needs.
4. Interpret and utilize findings from neuropsychological and neuroimaging evaluations.
5. Appropriately utilize various system resources for assistance with care of persons with dementia (PWD).
