The 18th Annual Capital City Sports Medicine Symposium aims to educate sports medicine clinicians on current clinical guidelines and practices when treating the athletic population.  Participants will be provided updates on shoulder, hip, and knee pathologies, including their management, rehabilitation, and return to activity.  Topics also include holistic wellness, emergency preparedness in athletics, updates on concussion diagnostics, and reviewing the effects of COVID in the pediatric athletic population.

Friday, April 14 is In-Person only.

Objectives
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe common signs, symptoms, and mechanisms of acute and chronic hip, knee, and shoulder pathologies.
  2. Discuss the need for surgical intervention in acute and chronic hip, knee, and shoulder pathologies.
  3. Develop therapeutic programs to decrease pain, and increase patient's ability to return to activity from acute and chronic hip, knee, and shoulder pathologies.
  4. Discuss common injuries and pathologies in non-traditional athletic activities.
