Physician-led governing bodies to advance the quality and value in hospital medicine across the OhioHealth system by considering opportunities to standardize evidence-based practice, evaluating practice against common standards, and evaluating, considering, and recommending quality and value based initiatives.

1. Identify variations in clinical practice or policy and, where appropriate, recommend best clinical practices or policy
2. Identify operational barriers to best clinical practice and work with operational leaders to pursue system standard operations that promote clinical best practice
3. Develop and recommend system outcomes and process measures to the OCGC for consideration
4. Evaluate non-provider-specific system performance on outcomes and process measures and identify opportunities to promote clinical best practice
5. Collaborate with established committees (e.g. P&T, Clinical Value Analysis) to promote improvements in clinical best practices
6. Identify and recommend educational needs in clinical or relevant operational areas
