Steve Childress, OT/L, C/NDT, CBIS graduated from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a degree in Occupational Therapy and has been a practicing occupational therapist since December of 2000.  Steve has extensive experience working with adult neurological patients, spending four years in the inpatient rehab setting and twelve years treating adult neurological patients in the outpatient setting.  He currently works as a clinician and serves as the Acquired Brain Injury OT Program Coordinator for the OhioHealth Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation in Columbus, Ohio.


Mr. Childress serves as a guest lecturer at the Ohio State University’s Occupational Therapy program on an annual basis.  He has spoken at the National AOTA Student Convaliarium in 2012 about Movement Analysis as a Tool for Assessment of the Adult Stroke Patient”.  He has spoken at numerus courses presented by OhioHealth as a part of their Rehabilitation Educational Lecture Series (RELS) courses covering topics such as: Stroke Specific Outcome Measures in Stroke Recovery (2008); Predicting Upper Extremity Recovery in Stroke (2011); and “Managing the Hemiparetic Upper Extremity- Evaluation and treatment progression of the Upper Extremity after Stroke.(2014).
